Katie Wright

My name is Katie Trivett Wright.  I am currently a student at Appalachian State University majoring in Elementary Education with a concentration in Social Studies.  I am married to Jordan Wright, and I have a son, Parker, who goes to Granite Falls Elementary School. 

 

Teaching Experiences:

I have interned at Sawmills Elementary School doing Wrap Around after school.  I also interned at Hudson Elementary School in Hudson, NC during my Block 1 semester at Appalachian State University.  I was in Mrs. Littell's first grade class at Hudson Elementary.

 

Volunteer Experiences:

I have volunteered at Whitnel Elementary School helping a Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Hoppes, with special activities and reading with the children. 

 

Career Goals:

I would like to teach teach somewhere close to home, Granite Falls.  Some schools I would be interested in teaching at would be Hudson Elementary, Granite Falls Elementary, Sawmills Elementary, or Whitnel Elementary School.  I would like to teach First Grade, but I am open to teaching any grade.  I will be available for hire in January of 2017.
